We call these Strappado, mainly because we want to.
Each of these, like the guitars we make themselves, are complete one-offs using stunningly unusual and sometimes slightly crazy finishes and techniques, and come signed, dated and numbered.
As is always the way, we tend to make what we feel like at any given time and so if you see something you like, you really should grab it while the grabbing is good, as somebody else surely will.
We won't make many of these, we usually stop when we get bored, and at the moment we don't seem to have any on offer.

This has been smothered lovingly with bronze and copper enriched 'active' paints and then corroded to grand effect using the House Brew. It comes with a matching copper encrusted pickguard. The body is swamp ash and will of course fit all standard Fender parts.

ST#2 Variegated Gold Leaf Stratocaster Hardtail
This back loading, hardtail Stratocaster will seriously stand out, with it's variegated Gold Leaf finish. It has a swamp ash body and will of course fit all standard Fender parts. Thru-body-stringing and a hardtail bridge give the best sustain you are likely to get from a Strat. Perfect with a set of out Gimps...

ST#3 Rusted Iron 51 Precision Bass
This is not only the first Bass body we have ever made here in Jookland, it is the first time we have done anything with the low notes, so we were pretty excited to find a beautiful swamp ash 51 spec Precision Bass body. From there we gave it a good coating of active iron paint, and corroded it to a beautiful flaming rust with our Home Brew acid. Once this had corroded, we stabilised then finished with a hard wax oil for a vibrant and resonant finish.

ST#4 Rusted Iron Jazzmaster
This Jazzmaster body has been smothered lovingly with iron enriched 'active' paints and then corroded to grand effect using the House Brew. It comes with a red tortie pickguard (unpictured). The body is Alder and will of course fit all standard Fender parts.

ST#5 Mother-of-Jooky Finished Telecaster
This lovely alder Tele body has a stunning Pearly Opalescent Fairy Dusted Mother-of-Jooky finish that is truly glorious. A plain black pickguard sets it off beautifully, though you might want to find a clear one to get the full effect.

This is a lovely alder Telecaster body, with a gorgeously corroded copper top and sides. The back has been stained rosewood and all is stable and finished in resonance-heavy hard wax oil. Man it smells good.

To be clear, all of our Strappado bodies are simply that - guitar bodies, works of art, that you can use to make yourself a stunningly cool guitar. All are utterly unique, signed, dated and numbered and when they are gone, they really are gone.
As for the other parts, for pickups and wiring looms we heartily recommend Mojo Pickups as basically they are the best we have found at any price.
